What to Expect in Therapy?
What to Expect in Therapy?
Starting therapy can feel like a big step, and it’s completely normal to have questions or uncertainty about what the process will look like. Our goal is to create a space where you feel safe, heard, and supported as you move toward greater clarity, healing, and self-understanding.
The First Session
Our first session is a chance for us to get to know each other. We'll talk about what brings you to therapy, your goals, and any questions you have about the process. We’ll also share more about our approach and how we can work together in a way that feels right for you. There’s no pressure to share everything all at once — we’ll go at your pace.
Ongoing Therapy
Therapy is a collaborative process, tailored to your needs. Some sessions might focus on building coping skills or navigating current stressors, while others may explore deeper patterns or past experiences. We’ll regularly check in about what’s working, and adjust as needed.
If EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a good fit for your goals, I'm (Michele) trained to incorporate it into our work together to help process and resolve trauma or stuck emotional experiences.
My Approach
We bring warmth, curiosity, and respect into each session. Whether you’re looking for support with anxiety, trauma, relationship challenges, or personal growth, we’ll create a space where all parts of you are welcome.
